Zule Zoo is a music duo comprising Micheal Aboh and Al-Hassan Ibrahim who came into limelight after their smash hit, ‘Kerewa‘, went viral and was banned by the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC), for obscene content.
The musical group was the delight of many music lovers in Nigeria and beyond in the early 2000s.Zule Zoo were known for popularizing a genre of music known as the Takuruku beat which projected the Tiv culture through creativity in lyrical composition and innovative use of African percussion instrument.
The duo intrigued the whole country for the few years they dominated the airwaves with the spectacular dance steps and swaying moves that added a distinctive flavor to thier music. But no sooner they dominated the Nigerian music scene than they disappeared without traces and this lead to the circulation of many rumors.
Recently, the singers were spotted at an event held in Abuja on the 14th day of February and photos of them at the event have stirred reactions by many online, Famous hit maker, Solaceangi said: “Happy to see this two great musicians together.Zule Zoo have remained the greatest promoters of the Tiv culture musically and we hope this reunion hold something spectacular for Zule Zoo lovers.
